Learning Pathways Philosophy

Our philosophy stems from our wholehearted belief that quality education in the early years creates a foundation for fundamental learning to transpire. At Learning Pathways Early Education, Care and Kindergarten, we aim to ensure each child is valued, respected, and feels safe and secure within our care.

Our philosophy stems from our wholehearted belief that quality education in the early years creates a foundation for fundamental learning to transpire. At Learning Pathways Early Education, Care and Kindergarten, we aim to ensure each child is valued, respected, and feels safe and secure within our care.

Nature Play

  • We believe that children should have natural spaces and places that support imagination, language, creativity, and social interaction. By combining natural elements such as fresh air, dirt, water and fire, children are empowered to build resilience in unhurried time and develop a growth mindset that enables confidence and capability.

  • We understand the importance of being in touch with Country and aim to continue to connect through culture and community.

Identity

  • We aim to contribute to bridging the gap for all vulnerable and at risk children within our community.

  • Our educators recognise our own culture, the diverse cultures of our families and Australia’s Indigenous culture which is shared through various and ongoing learning opportunities.

Connections

Our educators network closely with our local and wider community to support and encourage open communication with families, allowing for opportunities to share ideas, values and expectations of learning opportunities. We understand that our community plays an important part in the development of the children in our care.

Environments

  • Using a holistic approach, our educators commit themselves to providing the highest quality educational program and natural environments, allowing each learner to explore and develop at their own pace. We offer creative play spaces that aim to generate a feeling of home away from home and offer equal opportunities to grow. Our educators support and guide children to take considered and safe risks in our environments, which provide physical challenges that test their limits.

  • Sustainability, re-purposing and upcycling are key focus areas for our team. We are committed to caring for our environment and protecting our planet for the sake of future generations. We wholeheartedly encourage our families and children to participate in our journey as we embrace sustainable initiatives and practices.

“Creativity becomes more visible when adults try to become more attentive to the cognitive processes to children than to the results they achieve in various fields of doing and understanding.”
